Welcome to the official website of the Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport. The Department is the custodian of public infrastructure including transport and other related functions such as the coordination of the provincial Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and Scholar Transport.

At the helm of the Department is Ms. Dikeledi Mahlangu who is the Member of the Executive Council (MEC). Administratively, the Department is led by Mr. K.M. Mohlasedi as the Head of Department (HOD). The HOD is assisted by a dedicated management team of about 60 members including two Senior General Managers (Mr. W. Mthombothi: Corporate Strategy and Mr. M.C Morolo: Public Infrastructure) and the Acting Chief Operations Officer, Ms. T.F Ntuli.The Department has a staff complement of about 4000 adequately trained men and women who specialize in various fields from administration to engineering stationed in various district offices and cost centres through out the Province.
